Other ways to help
Keeping ourselves solvent is a constant battle, with much of the activity being labour and time intensive. If you want to do more than put a few pennies in a box, you can help by taking action in any of the following ways:
Corporate sponsorship
The team welcomes corporate support along with that of groups and clubs. You may choose to make a cash donation for general operational costs, or contribute towards specific items of team equipment from our current wish list – as below. Sponsors can request their logo on our web page, and in special circumstances, we may be able to display a logo on team vehicles or equipment. For further details please get in touch. Large annual fairs and festivals, such as the one at Chatsworth House are also effective fund-raising opportunities for us. If you would like to support this activity by offering us stall space, please contact us. All donations will be acknowledged by letter or, if required, by a “Supporter’s Certificate”. If your group is local to the Buxton area we may be able to arrange a visit and presentation for your members. Please feel free to get in touch.
Host a collection box, or invite us to a large event
Collection boxes hosted by local pub-keepers and shop owners are good fund-raisers for us. They are virtually maintenance free for you as we keep to a regular swap routine. If you have counter space for a neat charity container, please get in touch. Large annual fairs and festivals, such as the one at Chatsworth House are also effective fund-raising opportunities for us. If you would like to support this activity by offering us stall space, please contact us.
Give time as a Base Team Member
Besides operational activity, there is always plenty of support work to be done. Premises, equipment and vehicles have to be kept in a constant state of readiness, kit checked and maintained, fundraising organised, the training programme managed, external liaison work and administrative duties attended to. These jobs are all vital to maintaining our high standards and will make you just as much a part of our successful, happy, thriving team as those who do active rescue operations If you have the skills and time to volunteer on a regular, fully committed basis, read more details.
