Incident report
Buxton Search Dog Handler, Dave Mason, with his trusty friend, Megan, were called in the evening to assist Derby MRT in a search for a missing man around Breadsall village near Derby.
Twenty members of Derby team with two search dogs were to assist police to look for an 83 year old man who had last been seen some six hours earlier. The man was located safe and well by team members within two hours of the initial call-out. He had descended a steep wooded embankment near to his home and had been unable to get back up.
The man was escorted by Derby team members to a waiting ambulance for transport to hospital for a check-up.
