Retiring Mayor helps the team.
Buxton Mountain was honoured to be invited to a special evening held at Buxton’s Pavillion Gardens last Friday.
Retiring Mayor, Alan Barrow, presented a number of local charities a portion of the funds raised by the High Peak Mayoral Charity Committee throughout the last year.
Team Leader Neil Carruthers and Fundraising Manager Dave Goodman attended the event on behalf of the team together with a significant number of representatives from other local charities each receiving generous donations towards their funds.
Buxton Mountain Rescue Team was very pleased to be the recipient of a £300 gift which will be put towards kitting out the new search management vehicle with I.T. equipment. The equipment will enable the team to provide more efficient search management system when trying to locate people lost or missing within the Peak District.
The rescue team sends a huge “Thank You” to the Mayor and all those who have generously contributed to the fund during the year.
