Health & Safety rule in football match
The government’s Health and Safety Laboratories, based at Harpur Hill in
Buxton, have generously supported Buxton Mountain Rescue Team in the past and have yet again made a great contribution to the team.
It was Andy Harby of Interserve Facilities Management who challenged the Health and Safety men to a charity football match. The game was played at the Peak Dale ground on a bitterly cold evening but, with pride and honour at stake, it was played with great spirit. After a closely fought game the Health and Safety men ran out 1-0 victors.
The event was well supported by staff and family from both organisations and it raised a whopping £532.55 for the mountain rescue team.
Buxton Mountain Rescue Team offers its sincere thanks to the staff and friends of Interserve Facilities Management and Health and Safety Laboratories for all their effort and great generosity. Without such effort and the generosity of local companies and public, mountain rescue teams simply could not continue to provide their service to the community. Thank you to all.
