Fell’n’Back 2019 – the results are in!
Buxton Mountain Rescue Team want to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped the rescue team organise the Fell’n’Back race, and of course thank you to the hardy fell runners who took part.
On the day, the conditions were somewhat challenging and without the support of everybody leading up to the race, and on the race day, it couldn’t have been the success it was.
We do apologise to residents for the parking issues around the start point. We are looking at alternative arrangements for next year. We recognise the difficulties this may have caused for some of you, and thank you for bearing with us.
The ever dependable BMRT support crew ensured everyone was well catered for, with a huge array of cakes, biscuits and goodies, teas and coffees, for when the runners arrived back from the race. We hope you enjoyed the race, it was great to have so many of you entering “our” race.
Typically, the race prizes centred around “beer” and we would really like to say a huge thank you to Buxton Brewery, The Bollington Brewing Company, Wincle Brewery, and the Cheshire Cheese Pub/Titanic Brewery for their tremendous support which enables us to put on this event. Without their support, we could not have put on this race.
We know (because we have in the past tried a few ) that their beers are just great, so when you can, why not pop along to their pubs and breweries? We’re pretty sure you won’t be disappointed.
