Stanage Edge

The team was requested to assist Edale Mountain Rescue Team with a fallen climber on Stanage Edge. The climber had taken a short fall, which had resulted in a lower leg injury. After administering first aid, the casualty was carried on a stretcher to Plantation car park and taken to hospital by friends.

Mam Tor

A lady from Sheffield was enjoying an evening walk on Mam Tor, when she unfortunately slipped, sustaining an injury.

Unable to carry on by herself, the lady was assisted by some passing walkers, who called for help.

Both Edale Mountain Rescue Team and Buxton Mountain Rescue responded. The teams assisted a local First Responder to stretcher the lady to an East Midlands Ambulance at Mam Nick car park.

Dove Dale Dog Team search

A BMRT search Dog team was called at 2250 to assist Derby MRT with a search in the Ashbourne area for a missing 71 year old vulnerable male. The Dog Team carried out numerous search tasks. The missing male was not located in the search area and the Dog Team were stood down.

Hooks Carr

The team were called to a joint known location incident with Edale MRT.

A climbers belay point gave way while abseiling off Goliaths Groove at Stanage Edge resulting in a 10m fall to the ground. Fourteen Edale team members and four members of Buxton Mountain Rescue Team team treated the climber at the scene for leg and facial injuries. After strong pain relief by a team medic he was packaged and immobilised on to a team stretcher and swiftly evacuated to the road and the awaiting Derbyshire Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance. Horseshoe Quarry

BMRT were called to assist Edale MRT with a fallen climber at Horseshoe Quarry. A female climber had fallen whilst attempting a route on the second level in Horseshoe Quarry, Stoney Middleton. Unfortunately she caught her leg in the rope which resulted in an awkward landing. Team members arrived at the same time as Helimed 54 and treated her for a lower leg injury. The climber was then carried back down to an EMAS vehicle at the road which released Helimed 54 for any further tasking.

Chatsworth Show

A male exhibitor at the show with chest pain requested assistance. A BMRT paramedic assisted and advised going to hospital which was declined. Advised to visit GP. Advised to visit EMAS unit on site at the show if symptoms continued.

Padley Gorge

The team were called to assist Edale MRT with a young lady who was out for an afternoon with her family and slipped at the side of Padley Gorge and sustained a painful ankle injury. She was given pain relief and had her leg splinted before being carried a short distance to the road, where she was handed over to a crew from East Midlands Ambulance Service.

Chatsworth Show

A Lady with a medical collapse in the main grandstand at the Chatsworth Country show. The lady was treated by the Show Event Medical team which requested the help of BMRT to transport the lady to the event medical centre as all their patient transport resources were already deployed on other jobs.

Goyt Valley

The team was called by the Police to a known location call out in the Goyt Valley. A walker at location SK 0107 7421 had heard shouts of somebody asking for help. He called 999 and reported it. The team was called out for the snatch which turned into a prolonged search of the area. No person in need was found by the team and the team were stood down at 1728hrs.
