Incident report
The team was called out to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service with a casualty initially reported to be around the Jacob’s Ladder area of the upper Edale Valley. As team members began to arrive on scene, a team vehicle drove up to the head of the road to assess the incident. Fortuitously the casualty was soon found near Upper Booth where an initial assessment was made as to the extent of the injuries and treatment given. The casualty was then driven in the vehicle back to the car park, where they were then transferred to a waiting ambulance.
The team members, who had been waiting on standby in case they were needed to assist in a stretcher evacuation, were given the instruction to stand down, and the team vehicles were returned to base and readied for the next callout.
We send our very good wishes to the casualty and hope for a speedy recovery and return to the Peak District National Park.
