Incident report
Whilst the team were busy with callouts 90 & 91, a third call was received to assist a walker in Sparrowpit who had slipped in the snow and sustained a knee injury.
Local team members attended and assessed the casualty before placing them in a warm ‘casualty bag’ on a mountain rescue stretcher before sledging them the short distance to the road head. Due to the amount of callouts the team had received, Edale Mountain Rescue Team were requested to assist, along with a member of Kinder Mountain Rescue Team who lives in the village.
Following this very busy period, team members returned to both bases to replenish kit, and clean the equipment that had been used in line with our Covid-19 protocols.
