Incident report
A walker who was enjoying the relative calm after storm Franklin, slipped on a very muddy section of the path below Mam Tor injuring their ankle.
A member of the walker’s group called for assistance via East Midlands Ambulance Service, and due to the location, it was deemed difficult to reach the casualty site safely without the assistance of Mountain Rescue. Edale Mountain Rescue Team and Buxton responded.
On arrival at the scene, the casualty had been transported to below the broken road by local residents in their car.
The casualty was assessed by the team paramedic, after which they were transported to hospital in a friend’s car.
