Incident report

A young walker had decided to try and extend his view along the trail by climbing above one of the tunnel entrances, subsequently becoming crag fast! A dog walker tried to implement a rescue but was unsuccessful.

Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service was first on the scene and requested additional resources from Buxton mountain rescue. Both agencies worked closely and successfully were able to safely rescue the young walker and dog walker.

Both were assessed by members of East Midlands Ambulance Service before returning home just after midnight.
