Incident report
As team members were re-packing the vehicles and preparing to return to base from the previous callout, the second callout of the day came in for the teams to assist with a medical incident on the Great Ridge between Mam Tor and Hollins Cross.
Vehicles and team members relocated to a position further towards Mam Farm and made their way to the ridge to begin treatment of the casualty.
Due to the nature of the incident a request was made to the Derbyshire, Leicestershire, and Rutland Air Ambulance for a speedy evacuation to hospital. Helimed 54 was soon on scene and the patient was transferred to a hospital in Sheffield for further treatment.
The team sends its best wishes to both of the casualties for speedy recoveries and our grateful thanks to the staff at Treak Cliff Cavern, the off-duty nurse and other visitors who waited patiently while treatment was given to the casualties; thank you for all your help.
