Incident report
A lack of initial information triggered a full team response to a call-out at midnight on Friday night. However, in the event only a few members were required to assist the crew of an East Midlands Ambulance in the centre of Youlgreave village. The ambulance service had been called to a cottage where a gentleman was reported to be suffering heart problems. However, the location of the cottage, sited on a steep narrow hill, meant the crew were unable to carry the man to the ambulance. Team members quickly assisted the crew with the carry and the gentleman was soon on his way to hospital for assessment.
