Incident report
A middle of the night call out to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service with a 17 year old female casualty near to Buxton’s hill-top landmark. Team members gathered at Pooles Cavern car park for the short but steep climb to Soloman’s Temple.
The casualty, a local girl, had been with friends in Temple Woods. She was walking towards the monument when she slipped and sustained a possible fracture to the right ankle. Ambulance paramedics were first on scene and treated the injury which was obviously causing considerable pain. Team members then lifted the girl onto a stretcher which was carried the 1 kilometre back to the car park where a waiting ambulance took her onwards to a Stockport hospital.
