Incident report

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team responded along with Edale M.R.T. following the report of a lady having sustained an injury whilst walking in the Chee Dale area near to Miller’s Dale.
A simple slip resulted in a painful fracture of the wrist for the lady from Eyam who was with a rambling group at the time of the accident.  Poor mobile phone signal from the incident site complicated calling for assistance but the two teams were soon on route to rendezvous at Miller’s Dale Station.
The lady was treated on site by a paramedic before being carried by stretcher up on to the Monsal Trail and along the track to Miller’s Dale.  She was later taken by East Midlands Ambulance Service to a Chesterfield hospital for further treatment.
