Incident report

A Buxton and Edale snatch squad were called to the north side of Mam Tor at lunch-time to attend to a crashed paraglider.

The paraglider, a 55 year old man, from Matlock, was coming into land when he hit a wall, sustaining possible spinal injuries. Both a land ambulance and an air ambulance also attended the incident.

The casualty was taken by land ambulance to a hospital in Sheffield for further care.
