Incident report
Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called together with Cheshire Search and Rescue
Team to search for a 49 year old male from Macclesfield.
The team rendezvoused with other services in Macclesfield Forest to look for the man who had been reported missing the day before and for whom police now had serious concerns. With little information to work on team members covered many of the myriad of footpaths through the forest but as darkness fell there was still no sign. Teams were closing down for the night and preparing to return the following day when news came in that the man had been located by the police safe and well.
