Incident report
A joint team Snatch Squad call-out for Edale and Buxton M.R.Ts following a call from East Midlands Ambulance Service reference reports of a walker with a possible fractured ankle on a footpath near to Hope village.
The exact location was a little confused at first but eventually an Edale MRT member met with the incident reporter at the bottom of the path which climbs to Lose Hill. To complicate the matter further, during the call-out, Edale M.R.T. received a second call to an incident of a fallen and seriously injured climber on Curbar Edge. Edale M.R.T. diverted its members to that incident leaving Buxton M.R.T. to carry the injured walker on Lose Hill back to an ambulance waiting in Hope village.
Whilst re-packing kit from this incident another call-out was received, this time requiring a dash across to other side of Buxton’s patch in the Goyt Valley.
