Incident report

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called together with Edale M.R.T. to Hollins Farm in the Edale Valley.

A female walker from Sheffield had been descending from Hollins Cross with a group of friends when an unfortunate slip resulted in a suspected fracture of her lower leg.  She was treated initially by team members and protected from the elements as further resources arrived.   Following administration of pain relief and splinting she was carried to an East Midlands Ambulance waiting at the roadside for transfer to a Sheffield hospital.
