Incident report

Buxton Edale Snatch Squad called to evacuate a 13 year old girl from Birmingham, who was attending a summer camp in Edale. She was walking with others when she tripped and injured her ankle, immobilising her.

The girl was located by members of the mountain rescue team on Peat Moor, South West of the summit of Grindslow Knoll.   Her injuries were assessed and treated on site, and then she was evacuated by stretcher to an air ambulance and flown to the Chesterfield Royal Hospital for further treatment.
