Incident report
A joint Buxton and Edale snatch squad was called to Castleton at lunchtime to assist the East Midlands Ambulance Service.
A 65 year old lady from Handforth, Cheshire, was walking along the footpath above Goosehill Hall when she slipped and sustained a suspected fractured ankle. She was treated on site by the ambulance service paramedics, placed onto a stretcher and carried to the road by team personnel. From there she was transferred into the waiting ambulance and taken to Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport, for further treatment.
