Whilst some team members were representing Buxton MRT at this year’s Buxton Carnival, a call came in to assist Edale Mountain Rescue Team with an incident on the southern edges of Kinder Scout.
A young man had aggravated an old knee injury whilst walking on Nether Tor. Due to the location and with the possibility of a long carry off, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency helicopter was requested.
The helicopter kindly transported troops and equipment back to Edale village, before transporting the casualty to hospital.
