The team were requested to assist a family who were walking along the Monsal Trail, when their cocker spaniel decided to go for a more interesting walk. Father and son followed to retrieve the dog. All three then became crag fast just above a cliff and were rescued to safety by the team.
Joint incident with Cheshire Lowland Search And Rescue to a walker who had fallen near the summit of Shutlingsloe and couldn’t get up.
On arrival, the casualty was a male who had stumbled on a paved pathway and fallen over. Lower left leg injury, pain relief given before applying a splint and transferring the casualty to a mountain rescue stretcher and carried down the hill. Casualty handed over to North West Ambulance Service and taken to Macclesfield hospital.
The team was called out to attend a casualty who had slipped on mud in the Chee Dale area and sustained a painful lower leg injury. The casualty was quickly found, given pain relief, and his leg splinted before being transferred to a mountain rescue stretcher for transport to a waiting East Midland Ambulance Service ambulance.
Reports came to Buxton MRT of a cyclist on Monsal Trail at Litton Bridge, with chest and arm pains.Mobile 1 was sent easterly along the trail. They got to Monsal Head but could not find the casualty. The team were provided a What3words reference to locate the casualty which was just off trail near Thornbridge outdoor centre. This location was checked but no casualty could be found.Mobile 4 was sent westerly to check the trail again. Search parties were also sent to Litton Mill and to Millers Dale Bridge.
