A walker became stranded on steep ground above Winnats Pass. Team members were en route to the location when an update was received, stating that the walker had successfully self-rescued and was safe and well.
A walker became stranded on steep ground above Winnats Pass. Team members were en route to the location when an update was received, stating that the walker had successfully self-rescued and was safe and well.
Derbyshire Constabulary requested the assistance of Edale Mountain Rescue Team and Buxton Mountain Rescue Team in a potential search for a missing person.
As team members began to arrive at their respective bases, the police provided an update to both teams, stating that the missing person had been located by the police.
Team stood down.
Members of the drone team were requested to assist Derbyshire Constabulary and Glossop Mountain Rescue Team, with the search for a possible missing person after a road traffic incident.
Both teams stood down at 12:46.
Along with search dogs and handlers from different areas, Search Dog Wren and handler Andy were asked to support the Search and Rescue Dog Association SARDA Wales in the search for a missing person and their dog.
Unfortunately and after an extensive search, the missing person was found but sadly had succumbed to the late winter conditions, their dog survived.

Search dog Wren and handler Andy were requested to assist Edale Mountain Rescue Team in the search for a missing person who had become separated from their walking partner. Andy and Wren joined other search dogs from Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team Team, and Edale Mountain Rescue to search the Derwent edges.
Due to the increasing size of the search area, the S92 Maritime and Coastguard Agency was requested, but was unable to take off due to fog.
