The team, along with Edale Mountain Rescue Team, received a request from East Midlands Ambulance Service Saturday afternoon assist a casualty who was somewhere on the Grindslow Knoll area of Kinder Scout.

Initial information indicated that a walker had fallen and suffered a lower leg injury that prevented them from being able to walk any further. Monsal Trail, Millers Dale.

The team received a report of a male stranded in poor weather on the Monsal trail. At the time, there was intense and sudden heavy rainfall.

Mobile 4 and driver was sent to the location to carry out a quick assessment of what the situation might have been. Mobile 4 travelled along the Monsal Trail from Litton Tunnel to Cressbrook Tunnel but nothing found. The driver spoke to several members of the public who were unable to help or provide any more information.

Mam Tor, west of Castleton

The team was called out to assist Edale Mountain Rescue Team with an incident near Mam Tor yesterday evening.

East Midlands Ambulance Service had requested our help with a casualty who had slipped on the way down the hillside and injured their lower leg. The teams provided pain relief before transferring the casualty to a mountain rescue stretcher then carrying them down the hillside to the road where an ambulance was waiting to take them to hospital.

Pooles Cavern, Buxton

A mid afternoon call to Pooles Cavern, Buxton came in from East Midlands Ambulance Service to assist them with a casualty at the Country Park. The casualty had been in one of the wooded areas of the country park when they were suffered an injury.

An East Midlands Ambulance paramedic was quickly on scene to treat the casualty and, due to the steep uneven ground, requested our assistance to help move the casualty safely to the car park.

Lose Hill, Castleton

While out enjoying a trip to the Castleton area a member of a walking group fell, sustaining injuries to the upper body and shoulder. Derbyshire Constabulary were contacted, and as often happens mid-week, both Edale Mountain Rescue Team and Buxton Mountain Rescue Team were contacted and called to the incident.
