The Rescue Team were called to assist EMAS and Helimed 54 with a quad biker with back injuries.

The injured person was treated by 1st responder paramedic and Air Ambulance medics.

Team members assisted with the evacuation of casualty, to the air ambulance.

The team sends our best wishes to the casualty for a speedy recovery.

Tideswell Dale, south of Tideswell.

Just as team members were relaxing this evening they received a request for assistance from East Midlands Ambulance Service. They had been called, along with Your Local Air Ambulance WNDLR to a person who had been climbing / bouldering on the rock edges near Tideswell Dale, and had fallen and landed on very steep ground.

The team quickly arrived on scene and started to assess the situation. While some team members were placing the casualty on a vacuum mattress on a mountain rescue stretcher, other team members were setting up a rope system …

Teggs Nose, Macclesfield

One of our regular Thursday evening training sessions at Tegg’s Nose Country Park became a live callout for the team members attending.

The drone team were taking part in their first night flight, to familiarise themselves with the airborne flood lights and thermal imaging capability of the equipment.

Peveril Castle, Castleton

The third call out of the day for the mrt volunteers came in just after 5.00 pm.

A couple had been completing the circular walk from Castleton, around the Great Ridge and Mam Tor when one tumbled while walking downhill with their dog, sustaining a very painful injury to their lower leg.

Team members from both Edale Mountain Rescue Team and Buxton MRT made their way to the slopes just to the west of Peak Cavern to provide medical treatment to the patient and arrange the stretcher evacuation back …

Jacobs Ladder, Kinder Scout

Ther second call out of the day came in at just past 4.00 pm, as team members were dealing with incident 63.

A request came from East Midlands Ambulance Service for an injured walker on Jacobs Ladder. The casualty was reported to have lost consciousness. Due to the seriousness of the incident, and the fact that team members were still dealing with incident 63, Kinder Mountain Rescue Team, Edale Mountain Rescue Team and the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance were also requested to help.
