A walker enjoying a walk around Grinlow woods slipped resulting in a lower leg injury. The casualty called 999 and East Midlands Ambulance Service responded with a land ambulance.

The casualty was cared for on scene by the ambulance crew, but due to the location they were unable to safely carry the casualty to the road.

The team was called to help with the extraction. The casualty was placed onto our stretcher and transported to the ambulance waiting at Temple Fields.

The team was contacted by the Peak District Mountain Rescue Organisation duty controller to attend an incident with Derby Mountain Rescue Team. A report had been received from West Midlands Ambulance Service that a walker had slipped in Thor’s Cave and had dislocated their right shoulder.

On arrival, both teams located the casualty on the access path to the cave. The casualty had been assessed by Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance paramedics so the casualty was then packaged onto a mountain rescue stretcher and transferred down the slippery …

A walker who was enjoying the relative calm after storm Franklin, slipped on a very muddy section of the path below Mam Tor injuring their ankle.

A member of the walker’s group called for assistance via East Midlands Ambulance Service, and due to the location, it was deemed difficult to reach the casualty site safely without the assistance of Mountain Rescue. Edale Mountain Rescue Team and Buxton responded.

A walker had been enjoying a dog walk in Cressbrook Dale near Peter Stone when unfortunately they slipped on the very slippery muddy, limestone path, resulting in a right ankle injury. Being unable to place any weight on the ankle, the walker called 999 for ambulance assistance.

The local first responder was the first on scene, followed by a crew from East Midlands Ambulance Service. Due to the inaccessibility of the terrain assistance from Mountain Rescue was requested.

Tasked to join Glossop Mountain Rescue Team with an ongoing search for a vulnerable missing person, on behalf of Derbyshire Police.

Due to the size of the potential search area, help was requested from Kinder, Edale and Buxton Mountain Rescue Teams, as well as dog teams from Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England.

The missing person was found by a farmer and the teams stood down.
