Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called to support Derbyshire police searching for a vulnerable female around the Goyt Valley near Buxton.
The middle aged lady from the Staffordshire area was believed to have been somewhere on the moorland around Errwood Hall since before darkness.  Police had become concerned for her welfare after relatives reported her missing and following a deterioration of the weather with heavy rain and a cold wind.

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called by West Midlands Ambulance Service following the report of an injured walker.

The first team members arrived as the West Midlands Air-ambulance was circling above the casualty site.  A sixty-six year old man from Leamington Spa had simply slipped on the muddy path and sustained a suspected leg fracture. Initial treatment was by team members before the helimed medics took over.  The casualty was then carried to the waiting aircraft for transfer to a North Staffordshire hospital.

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called to the southern lower slopes of Mam Tor where a male walker had taken a simple slip whilst descending an innocuous grassy slope.

Initial treatment by team members diagnosed a suspected fracture of the lower leg and suitable treatment and pain relief was administered.  The casualty site was only a couple of hundred metres from the road but the wet, muddy conditions demanded a careful stretcher carry to the waiting East Midlands Ambulance.

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team sent four members as part of a P.D.M.R.O. response to assist in the search for an elderly gentleman.  The search, controlled by Edale MRT, included several areas of river and open water where specially trained and suitably equipped members of Edale, Buxton and Woodhead teams were deployed.

Despite a day-long search no trace was found of the missing person and teams were stood down at darkness.  South Yorkshire Police continue their inquiries.

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called following a telephone call to police from a man reporting himself lost on Kinder Scout.  The weather at the time of the report was very poor with substantial rain falling on an already sodden moor swelling streams into torrents and low cloud reducing visibility to just a few metres.  Deep snow lying in groughs and across footpaths would hamper progress.
