Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called at 6.00 pm on Friday 4th August following a report to East Midlands Ambulance Service of an accident on the south east ridge of Mam Tor, near to Blue John Mine.

Water Cum Jolly, MIllers Dale nr Cressbrook

At about 2.15pm on Wednesday 19th July, Buxton Mountain Rescue Team was called-out following reports of a fallen climber on Moat Buttress at Water-cum-Jolly.
Rendezvousing at Millers Dale Station, team vehicles ferried team members the one and a half miles down the Monsal Trail to a location above the incident scene.  Access to the incident involved a steep decent over some tricky terrain before arriving at a flat apron of ground beside the River Wye and below an imposing limestone buttress.

Monsal Trail

Whilst dealing with the previous call-out in the Goyt Valley another call from East Midlands Ambulance Service was received relating to cycling accident on the Monsal Trail.  Team vehicles were quickly on route to rendezvous at Miller’s Dale Station with other local team members.
A twenty-nine year old lady from Glossop suffered knee and serious facial injuries following an accident whilst riding a bike on the trail.  Team members were first to arrive on scene to start treatment and were soon able to hand over to the professionals when the …
