Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called at 3.30 p.m. on Saturday 2nd September to support Edale rescue team dealing with an injured mountain biker on Win Hill.
Five members left fundraising at Chatsworth Park to assist plus a few other local members. Edale M.R.T. had the job in hand and our members were just able to join in the evacuation through a steep wooded area and along a track to the waiting ambulance.

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called at 1.00 pm on Friday 1st September following the report of an injured walker near to Crowden Tower on Kinder Scout.
Ten members and two vehicles left fundraising at Chatsworth Park and another eight local members responded to the call-out. Whilst travelling to the incident the nature of the call became clearer. Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called by Derbyshire Police at 10.00 p.m. on Bank Holiday Monday night following a report of two walkers lost in the dark.
The lost pair had left Tideswell around 2.00 p.m. for a circular walk on the local paths. They were using a map on a mobile phone for navigation but when the battery failed they lost their way. After further conversations it was predicted that the couple, from Birmingham, were actually on the Monsal Trail having become disorientated after night fall. Buxton Mountain Rescue Team members who were within 15 minutes travelling distance were called to assist Edale M.R.T. which was dealing with a climbing accident in the High Neb area of Stanage Edge near Hathersage.
Five local team members responded to help the Edale members assisting a rock-climber who had fallen about six metres sustaining a head injury. A couple from Widnes were on a circular walk from Wildboarclough when a slip in the muddy conditions resulted in a suspected fractured ankle for a fifty year old lady.
