The team were called as part of a joint snatch with Edale Mountain Rescue Team to a walker who had slipped and sustained an injury to her ankle. Edale and Buxton team members administered pain relief before transporting the casualty to an awaiting East Midlands Ambulance.
 

Thursday nights training was interrupted when the team was called to assist Kinder Mountain Rescue Team who were assisting two walkers who had become lost on Kinder Scout. A Kinder Mountain Rescue team section helped the walkers and descended Jacobs Ladder. The team despatched Mobiles 1 & 2 to meet the KMRT section then transport team members and walkers to KMRT base at Hayfield.
 

A 63 year old lady from Ashbourne was out walking the dog with her husband in an area near Solomons Temple when she slipped on a patch of mud and dislocated her knee. The lady was treated by EMAS Ambulance Paramedics and placed on a rescue stretcher and carried by 11 Buxton team members to the road ambulance for onward travel to hospital.

The Buxton team was called as part of the Kinder Scout search plan along with Edale, Glossop and Kinder teams when two walkers became lost in thick hill fog and strong winds on the plateau. The couple from Liverpool had set off earlier in the day from Edale, and became disorientated in the area north of Crowden Brook whilst trying to find the top of Kinder Scout.
The couple called for mountain rescue assistance after wandering around in the fog for some time and realised that daylight was running out.
Search parties rapidly ascended to the plateau via the usual ascent routes. …
