Corbar Woods, Buxton

While team members were arriving at job 011, a second call came in to attend Corbar Woods. The air ambulance was deployed along side Buxton Mountain Rescue. A walker who was crossing a stile below Corbar Cross on the outskirts of Buxton, slipped and landed awkwardly momentarily losing consciousness. East Midlands Ambulance Service was first on scene, closely followed by Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance. Additional team members made their way to the casualty location. Winnats Pass

The Team was called to assist Edale Mountain Rescue Team to help a walker who had slipped on a grassy slope and hurt their ankle.

With their leg splinted, the casualty was put onto a mountain rescue stretcher and sledged down to the road and waiting ambulance.

While team members were still arriving at the RV, a second call came in to an incident at Corbar Woods – some team members left this callout to attend 012 other members were redirected to it. …

Rushup Edge

While incidents 008 and 009 were just coming to an end, the team was alerted to a fallen paraglider on Rushup Edge, near Lords Seat. Team attended and provided support where required.

Mam Farm

As call out number 008 was happening, a second casualty call was recorded, approximately 100m away!

The team supported both incidents with Edale Mountain Rescue Team. Evacuated by the team to East Midlands Ambulance Service ambulance at Odin Mine.

Mam Farm

The team was asked to assist neighboring team Edale Mountain Rescue (EMRT) to recover a fallen walker near Mam Farm. It was suspected that the casualty had a dislocated ankle. After treatment by EMRT carers the casualty was driven to an East Midland Ambulance Service ambulance at the Odin Mine by Buxton Mountain Rescue Team members.
