Incident report

A report of a 71 year old man from Chesterfield having collapsed on Jacobs Ladder sent members of the joint Buxton and Edale Mountain Rescue Teams’ Snatch Squad on an urgent mission.   An East Midlands Ambulance crew was first at scene quickly joined by mountain rescue paramedics and doctors near to the top of the steeply stepped path.

After careful assessment the casualty was slowly assisted down the hillside to a team Land Rover at the pack-horse bridge.  The man was then transported to the ambulance waiting at the road-head where he was handed over to the care of East Midlands Ambulance Service.
