Incident report

A joint Buxton and Edale Snatch Squad call-out to assist the ambulance service following the report of a fallen climber at the popular gritstone climbing edge.  The 42 year old climber from Malmesbury in Wiltshire had fallen  4 – 5 metres to the ground sustaining a lower leg injury.   Buxton team, having just completed call-out 53 in the Goyt Valley, was able to send twelve members and it vehicles to aid Edale members attending from nearer the scene.   The casualty was treated by Edale MR paramedics before being carried on a rescue stretcher to an ambulance waiting at Hooks Car.
