Incident report
Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called alongside Kinder MRT to search Lyme Park, a large National Trust estate in Disley, Cheshire. The teams were called by Greater Manchester Police to assist with an extensive search for a man from the Stockport area.
The police had reason to be concerned for the man’s welfare and committed a large number of resources to the search. Nearly forty members of mountain rescue teams together with three mountain rescue search dogs spent eight hours combing the entire parkland including some densely wooded areas.
The man was not located and the mountain rescue search was suspended until police enquiries reveal further clues as to his location.
