Incident report

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team along with Edale and Derby Teams responded to a call by police to assist locating and recovering stranded motorists in heavy snow.

Vehicles were trapped for some time on the A515 Buxton – Ashbourne road. The checks were conducted in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The teams approached the area from 3 different locations, checking vehicles, drivers and occupants enroute. Most of the vehicles were HGVs, and their drivers opted to stay with them.

    Hi, had to abandon my car on A515 near to Jug&Glass pub. What’s the best way to find out when road is clear enough to recover it please?
