Incident report
Buxton team, plus a search dog, called to look for a walker lost in hill fog.
A lone male hill walker, in his 40s, reported being lost in thick fog on Kinder Scout. His last known location was Kinder Low trig point. Kinder MRT initiate a search along the Western edges, but having not found anyone for over an hour, activate both Glossop and Buxton MRT’s, including a search dog, to broaden the search to the north and south west of the plateau. Buxton were deployed to the routes with waterfalls on the south west: Crowden Brook, The Cloughs, and Jacob’s Ladder.
The man was located unharmed, at the Downfall by KMRT, and recovered to their Hayfield base. All other sections were stood down.
