Incident report

A Buxton Edale snatch squad was called to Edale village to attend a casualty who had fallen about 3 metres from a rope swing, and landed in the river.

The casualty, a 16 year old female from Cudworth, Barnsley, sustained pelivic injuries. She was treated on site by the helicopter doctor, and carried a short distance by team members to the Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland Air Ambulance which flew her to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield.
