Incident report
On Wednesday afternoon Buxton Mountain Rescue Team was requested to assist the East Midlands Ambulance Service in the Goyt Valley.
A 67 year old male from Bollington had collapsed whilst fishing at Errwood Reservoir. He was treated on site by the ambulance services paramedics and recovered from the shoreline on a stretcher by team personnel to the roadside.
The casualty was then transferred to Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport, for further treatment.

My father was the man who called the ambulance and who was fishing with Andy at the time he collapsed
My father would like to say thank you for all your help that you did that day and what a great job every single 1 of your team do.
Sadly in this case, that evening Andrew passed away with a stroke
