Incident report
East Midlands Ambulance Service contacted mountain rescue to inform it that an air ambulance had been directed to a 62 female casualty on Combs Moss. The casualty, one of a rambling club group, was on the western side of Combs Moor above Allstone Lea Farm and was believed to have suffered a fractured leg.
Radio pagers were activated to summon team members to the team’s rescue base at Dove Holes. Groups could be ferried up to the nearest access point to the incident where it is difficult to park vehicles. As the first group of team members was about to be dispatched East Midlands Ambulance Services confirmed that the air-ambulance had been able to load the casualty and the rescue team was not required.
Team stood down at 12.15 pm.
