Incident report
The team was called out to assist Edale Mountain Rescue Team with an incident near Mam Tor yesterday evening.
East Midlands Ambulance Service had requested our help with a casualty who had slipped on the way down the hillside and injured their lower leg. The teams provided pain relief before transferring the casualty to a mountain rescue stretcher then carrying them down the hillside to the road where an ambulance was waiting to take them to hospital.
All the equipment that was used was then cleaned ready for the next callout.
The team would like to thank the member of the public who found the casualty and stayed with them until team members arrived on scene.
We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.
