Incident report
The team was called out late afternoon to search for a female walker in her 70s who had become separated from her partner in heavy rain and low cloud whilst on a walk around the Fernilee/Windgather area.
On arrival at the car and after waiting a while, the partner became concerned and rang the Police.
Team members had responded to the call out and were travelling to the Goyt valley when we learnt that the missing lady was able to get a message to her partner saying she was safe and well at home. The team was stood down after 15 minutes.
