Incident report

The team was called out late afternoon to an incident in Grin Low Woods, Buxton.

Thirteen team members responded to the callout and on arrival  they found a female casualty had reportedly been involved in an incident and had received a painful injury, to her hip/pelvic area. Following a medical assessment of the casualty,  she was  given entonox, before an East Midlands Ambulance Service paramedic arrived. The casualty was then reassessed, and given stronger pain relief before being placed in a casualty bag and vacuum mattress, and transported on a mountain rescue stretcher, to Poole’s Cavern Car Park, where she was transferred to a waiting ambulance for onward transport to hospital.
