Incident report

A mid afternoon joint snatch call out for call out for both Buxton and Edale Mountain Rescue Teams to the Grindsbrook footpath, just outside of Edale.

A female casualty was quickly located. She had been walking with her family, tripped and dislocated her knee. The teams assessed the casualty, gave pain relief, and the dislocation was reduced, and her leg splinted and immobilised. She was then placed in a vacuum mat, in a casualty bag and placed on the stretcher for a carry down back to Edale.

She was taken to hospital by grateful family members for further assessment.
