When a small local business was about to celebrate four years of trading the owner decided  to help the rescue team.

Buxton business, ‘One Small Step’ is a small shop on Hall Bank trading in quality kids’ shoes and accessories.  To start the celebrations owner, Nichola Seargeant, held a raffle for her friends and customers with the proceeds going to the team.

Team member Darren went along on behalf of the team to receive the £45 donation and offer the team’s sincere thanks for the generosity of all the customers who participated.

Nichola said, “I wanted to help a local charity and Buxton mountain rescue was the ideal choice, as we love the outdoors and its comforting to know that the team is on hand to help those who may get into difficulty.”
